Veterans & Military in Hubbardston MI
Hubbardston honors its veterans through Walter T. Roach American Legion Post 182, Memorial Day observances, and a tradition of military service stretching back generations.
Walter T. Roach American Legion Post 182, named after a veteran from one of Hubbardston's founding Irish families, serves as the center of veterans' life in the community. The post hosts community breakfasts, Memorial Day ceremonies, and serves as a key venue for the annual St. Patrick's Day celebration. Hubbardston's young men have served in every major American conflict, and their sacrifices are honored at the American Legion Hall and in the headstones of St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
