Katherine Roach (born 1833) was born in County Wexford, southeastern Ireland, daughter of Thomas Roach and Bridget Cowman. She married Mathew McKenna. At least four of her siblings also emigrated to Hubbardston: Mary (1827-1856), Phillip (1830-1892), Bridget (1835-1909), and Nicholas. The Roche/Roach family are a Wexford clan, and their multiple siblings emigrating together is a textbook example of the chain migration that built Hubbardston.
