Hubbardston Dam

The Hubbardston Dam on Fish Creek was one of the most important pieces of infrastructure in the village's early history. Built during the lumber era, the dam created a millpond that provided steady waterpower to drive the sawmills processing timber from surrounding forests. In later years, as the lumber industry faded, the dam was repurposed as a small hydroelectric power source.
