Thomas Hubbard

Thomas Hubbard was associated with Hubbard, Taylor & Co., a lumber company that operated a sawmill in the area. His influence and business presence were significant enough that the village was named in his honor when it was formally established in 1854. The village name 'Hubbardston' permanently links the community to this early lumber operator.
