Gerald K. Osborne

Gerald K. Osborne (November 6, 1930 – November 23, 2003) was born in Matherton, Clinton County, Michigan — a small community just south of Hubbardston on Hubbardston Road. His father Frank Allen Osborne (1899–1988) and grandfather Levi Crum Osborne (1870–1926) were also from the Matherton area, placing the Osborne family in the same few-mile stretch for at least four generations. The Osborne family was Anglo-American and Protestant — Gerald's brother Stanley married at the Methodist Church in Matherton and was a Freemason. Gerald's marriage to Patricia Stoddard was a cross-community union, joining a Protestant farm family with one of Hubbardston's largest Irish-Catholic clans. Gerald is buried at East Plains Cemetery in Lebanon Township alongside Patricia.
