Barbara A. Blanchard

Barbara A. Blanchard has owned Shiels Tavern since 2010, maintaining the tradition of Michigan's oldest continuously licensed bar under the same name. Under her stewardship, the tavern continues to serve as a community gathering place, offering burgers, fish and chips, and other pub fare alongside shuffleboard and pool. The St. Patrick's Day parade route concludes at Shiels with a bagpiper performing at the finish.
