The North Plains Township Volunteer Fire Department provides fire protection and emergency response to the township and village of Hubbardston. Staffed entirely by local volunteers, the department serves the rural farming community and village residents across the township's 36 square miles. The volunteer firefighters are a vital part of the community's safety infrastructure.
